Adele: What was I like as a baby?
Mom: You were an easy easy baby, just like your sister. No colic, no allergies. You did spit up quite a bit until about 6 months but it went away once you started eating food. You weren't quite as patient as Delaney though but then she was the only baby and didn't have to be as patient as you. There was no doubt when you were upset. Your crying would get louder and louder and then wasn't crying at all but became screaming. Your face would turn red and you would close up your eyes so long that you couldn't see a bottle right in front of you.
You didn't get sick until you were 8 months old when you had your first ear infection. Poor Baby! Pain lasted three days and that entire time you didn't want to be put down or left alone for a second. Right after that, you top two front teeth came in while visiting Grandma Joan. You weren't a happy camper then either but before long, you returned to your smiling happy self.

What Was I Like - Delaney at Dinner
Delaney: What was I like when we would sit down to dinner.
Mom: Well, just like all other times of the day, you LOVE to talk, even if you don't have all the words. This video shows off your conversational skills. We think you are using mannerisms, songs, and topics of conversation you learn at school. We get a chance to see what your school day is like with displays like this.

What was I like - Delaney's car rides
Delaney: What was I like when we would ride in the car?
Mom: Starting at about the age of 2, you made short rides in the car very fun. You could see out the window much better and noticed everything around you. You started at about 18 months to be able to distinguish types of vehicles - cars, trucks (including pick up trucks), vans and buses. So when we would ride in the car you would point these out. You loved buses - especially school buses. If we were out in the morning you would see so many buses that you would start to count them or want to sing Wheels on the Bus. You weren fascinated with letters and look for STOP signs so you can point them out and spell them.
Today you surprised me a couple of times. As we got on the highway and started to go faster, you started to chant Go Car Go, Go Car Go. We saw one of the dancing balloons many car dealerships use to capture drivers attention and you pointed it out calling it a Wiggle Head.

Lazy Sunday morning for Delaney's first steps
Greg and I had seen Delaney take one to three steps prior to the day filmed below, but never enough to really count as walking. On this particular Sunday in July we were relaxing in the morning - still in our PJs - and Delaney walked across the room. We grabbed the camera and posted a couple of the best. The third video also happened that morning. It isn't walking but still fun to watch.
Here is the first recorded steps with a little bit of the limp-leg crawl:
Here are few more steps to Daddy
And finally,
The Spinning Game
